Evaluation Of Continuity Sequence
In groups, we have been working together on a 20-frame sequence involving the 'Change Of Hands' theme. We used a range of camera angles and techniques to create our video such as..
Mise-En-Scene
Mise-En Scene, is the arrangement of everything that appears in the setting of the video. This can be used to set the scene of the video because it means carefully deciding which props or backgrounds are in each shot. We used this successfully because we wanted to set the scene of a classroom; this was achieved by the desks in the background.
Lighting
For lighting, we used 'Ambient' lighting. This means that we have used natural lighting and there was no setup. This is normally used with 'on-location' broadcasts, however, we thought that it would be good to use this lighting to give a natural, effect as classrooms normally just have ambient light.
Camera Angles
We mainly only used the 'Straight On' camera angle. This camera angle is mostly shown to imply normality. This is how we successfully used our 'straight on' because the video is set in a normal, everyday scene- a classroom.
Shot Distances
We managed to use a range of shot distances. One of which being the 'Over-The-Shoulder 'shot. This shot is traditionally used to establish the positioning of characters. We decided to use this to portray the power of the teacher and how he is looking down on the students and has all of the control. We also used an 'Extreme Close-Up'. This is typically used to show extreme details on a particular element. This was the perfect shot to use to highlight the tension between the teacher and student before the phone is given over.

Camera Movement
We used a 'Pan' in our establisihing shot. This camera movement is normally used to show loacation and that is what we used it for when showing the outside of the college. We used this shot to set the scene
Fades/Dissolves
We used fades/dissovles to show effect. More specifically, we used this when she shot the teacher looking at the watch. We faded this shot to show the affect of time passing.
Summary
Overall, I learned a lot of new things. I especially learned how to work with Premiere Pro when editing as I had never used this software before. I found it quite easy to use when putting together a basic continity sequence. I also learned so much about the shooting process, from setting up a tripod to using camera angles and shot distances. I personally enjoyed the shooting process the most as we were able to put our ideas into practise and experiment with the cameras.
